IT Infrastructure covers Chief Information Officers, VPs of IT, Heads of Infrastructure, and senior Security executives. Distinct from CTO/Engineering: this is the internal-systems, employee-tooling, and operational-resilience seat.

Includes Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) when the role reports to CIO/CFO/CEO with executive-tier scope, plus Heads of Cloud and Infrastructure for companies whose tech stack is mostly bought, not built.

Across the 214 active roles in this category, the largest tier is VP. The classifier weighs company size, scope, and reporting line — not just the title prefix — so the tier mix reflects real responsibility, not vanity titles.

What falls outside: product-engineering CTO roles (those land in CTO & Technology Leadership).
